Frequently asked questions
When should I enable the offset option?
Enable it when each file is a separate segment whose timing starts near zero (for example part 1 and part 2 of a movie). The second file is then shifted to start after the first. Leave it off when both files already use the correct absolute times.
Will the cues be renumbered?
Yes. After joining, all cues are renumbered sequentially so the result is a valid subtitle file.
Does it work with SRT and VTT?
Yes. The format of the first file is used for the output. Mixing SRT and VTT inputs still works.
